This double operation allows Kiloutou Spain to strengthen its position in the lifting sector, and its presence in Catalonia, Madrid and Valencia with 6 new agencies. It also enriches the equipment offering with a new range of platforms and truck-mounted aerial work platforms dedicated to working at height for the construction, industry and services sectors.
Since 1989, Liftisa has been the market leader in low-height lifting platforms and scissor lifts for renovation, maintenance and industrial work. With 3 dedicated agencies in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, Liftisa's 80 team members operate a catalogue of more than 2.000 latest generation equipment.
Founded in 2015, Gloobal is a specialist in the short and long term rental of aerial work platforms (trucks, vans and pick-ups) for outdoor work on public roads. With 3 dedicated agencies in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, Gloobal's 30 team members operate a fleet of 550 specialized vehicles for professional clients.
After having built a large general network in Spain in 10 years, and strengthened its presence in tool rental in October 2024 with the acquisition of ToolQuick, this new strategic operation allows Kiloutou to develop a complete range of lifting equipment in Spain with dedicated and experienced teams. The Liftisa and Gloobal teams will lead the commercial development of this new range at the national level while benefiting from strong synergies with the existing network. Kiloutou Spain is now made up of 62 agencies, 510 team members, and a fleet of more than 20.000 pieces of equipment.
For Cyril Brillouet, general manager of Kiloutou Spain: “We were looking to acquire strong expertise and a leading position in the field of equipment rental for working at height. The acquisition of these two companies meets this objective. Their presence in 3 key cities and provinces is intended to be extended elsewhere. Our objective is to support their growth strategy by combining our offers on the Spanish market and sharing the market knowledge of our teams. I am delighted to welcome the 110 team members of Liftisa and Gloobal to the Spanish subsidiary of the Kiloutou group.”
For Ivan Papell, CEO and majority shareholder of Liftisa and Gloobal: "I am very happy and proud to announce the acquisition of our two companies by Kiloutou. Both projects are very solid, ambitious and have great potential. This new step, in addition to consolidating their position, will allow our teams and projects to continue their strong growth while benefiting from the services and resources of the Kiloutou group, which will allow new investments and expansion in the rest of Spain."
A mixed growth strategy to strengthen the Kiloutou group's positioning in the European top
For 10 years, the Kiloutou Group has been accelerating its development to meet a dual challenge: expanding its territorial network, in France and Europe, and strengthening its expertise to become a multi-specialist rental company capable of supporting its customers - construction companies, craftsmen, SMEs, Industry & Services, local authorities, individuals, in all components of a construction site.
Kiloutou bases its development on a mixed growth model that combines organic and external (60 external growth operations have been carried out over the last 10 years). This strategy has allowed it to structure, among other things, 4 specialty subsidiaries (Kiloutou Module, Kiloutou Signalisation, Loca Réception, Kiloutou Énergie) that work in synergy with the network of general agencies. The group is present in 7 European countries (Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Poland).
The Kiloutou group is ranked in the Top 3 of the European construction equipment rental market. In 2023, it achieved a turnover of €1,2 billion and aims to reach €2,5 billion in 2030. It employs nearly 7.000 team members within a European network made up of 600 agencies.
For Olivier Colleau, Executive President of the Kiloutou group: "I am very pleased with the momentum that has been generated in Spain in recent months. Following the acquisition of ToolQuick last November, these two new companies are enriching our offering on the Spanish market and strengthening our network in major cities. To grow, we have chosen to expand our playing fields internationally, but always relying on companies that share our DNA in terms of sharing and sustainable footprint."
