Jallatte awarded for its safety shoe, Jalquartz, certified carbon neutral according to the ISO 14068-1 standard

Among the 12 winners at the leading prevention trade fair, Jallatte stood out in the PPE Footwear category with the JALQUARTZ model, certified carbon neutral according to the ISO 14068-1 standard.

The J'Respect collection, of which JALQUARTZ is a part, comprises 18 models, made from recycled or bio-based materials and all certified carbon neutral according to the ISO 14068-1 standard, illustrating the company's commitment to more sustainable worker protection.

This essential meeting for stakeholders in health, safety and quality of life at work thus distinguishes an innovation that meets both the safety requirements of professionals and the growing expectations of companies in terms of environmental responsibility.

Innovation and a strong CSR approach

Designed to meet the requirements of all professions in the agri-food sector, as well as the chemical and laboratory professions, the JALQUARTZ safety shoe combines optimal protection, lightness and comfort of use.

Its smooth recycled microfiber upper allows for work in very strict hygiene conditions thanks to its ease of cleaning and maintenance. This microfiber, ideal for humid environments and against fluid splashes, is composed of 40% recycled polyamide.

The major innovation of this collection lies in its BASF® Biomass Balance PU sole, composed of 100% renewable and non-fossil materials. The use of this material, derived from the fermentation of organic waste, reduces the shoe's carbon footprint by 60%.

The lining, the MAXI-Soft Duo anti-fatigue insole, the anti-perforation insert and the laces are also made from recycled materials, so the JALQUARTZ model is ultimately composed of 62% bio-based or recycled materials (Calculations according to the EN ISO 14021: 2016 standard which is based on the total weight of the shoe).

This distinction comes a few weeks after obtaining the Committed CSR Label as part of the J-Clean program and confirms Jallatte's strategy of reconciling worker protection, innovation and reducing the environmental footprint.

The environmental results achieved in 2025 are tangible:

• 10% reduction in electricity consumption;
• a decrease of more than 30% in water consumption;
• 25% reduction in solvent consumption.
