A popular solution to address environmental challenges
First of all, modular construction is emerging as a concrete response to the environmental emergency: 82% of those surveyed believe that it allows for better management of resources and materials.
Fast, mobile, reusable, modular construction is attractive for its ability to limit the environmental impact throughout the building's life cycle. Designed for flexible and temporary uses, modular construction significantly limits soil artificialization and guarantees rapid and controlled implementation. 93% of those surveyed believe it is perfectly suited to emergency situations.
Designed to be dismantled, reused, and reconfigured up to 20 times, ALGECO® modules are fully in line with a circular economy approach: waste reduction, optimized resource management, and space reversibility. Thanks to their almost complete recycling (96%) at the end of their life and their compliance with the RE2020 standard, they reduce the carbon footprint of buildings while limiting water and energy consumption. Modular construction thus challenges preconceived ideas and reveals its ecological advantages. The building of tomorrow must be circular, sober, scalable, and energy efficient.
Try it, you'll love it: a solution to address societal challenges
Revealing first of all a great proximity to this type of construction, in terms of awareness (82% of French people are familiar with modular construction) or even experience (nearly 25% of those questioned have spent time there over the last 12 months), this study reveals strong support among the French for this innovative and sustainable construction solution.
According to the results, more than one in two French people (64%) who have spent time in modular construction consider it a solution for the future. 74% of French people find it suitable for meeting current construction needs. The recognized benefits of modular construction are numerous: speed of construction (47%), ability to be moved (47%), and real-time adaptability to needs (35%).
Modular construction is thus emerging as a concrete response to the major challenges facing the construction sector and public policy: supporting the rapid development of infrastructure for local authorities, assisting with reconstruction in Mayotte, and developing flexible accommodation and reception solutions. In a context of environmental transition, it allows public officials to act quickly, without sacrificing either energy performance or user acceptance.
For Vincent Conte, Marketing and Development Director of ALGECO® France: "As we celebrate ALGECO®'s 70th anniversary, we are looking resolutely toward the future. Modular construction is a concrete, rapid, and sustainable response to the societal, urban, and environmental challenges of our time."
