In a context of sharply slowing prices and difficult financing conditions in the first half of 2024, total housing expenditure by all economic agents increased by 1,6% in 2024, reaching €618,9 billion. This rise was driven by an increase in the value of current expenditure (+4,6%), while investment in housing declined by 6,6%.
