Hörmann launches its Housing Training Center in Gron

Following the opening of its Industry Training Centre in Pusignan in March 2024, Hörmann France continues to support the skills development of professionals.

The European leader now also houses, at its headquarters in Gron, its training center specifically dedicated to its home improvement products. Certified by Qualiopi, this new Hörmann Academy training center offers professional trainees the opportunity to enhance their technical knowledge of Hörmann's home improvement range, including garage doors, garage door openers, and gate openers.

This training center comprises modern, ideally equipped spaces (touchscreens, laptops, etc.) covering a total area of 135 m².²Prioritizing educational coherence and conviviality, the sessions are intended for groups of a maximum of 6 trainees (salespeople but especially installers or technicians involved in the installation and/or programming of Hörmann products).

For optimal training, Hörmann has chosen to combine a theoretical session in the morning with a practical workshop in the afternoon. It should be noted that the "practical" portion takes place in a dedicated 103 m² space.²In order to offer practical, skills-based training modules on products in real-world conditions, such as: sectional garage doors with Z-bracket hardware, sectional garage doors with pedestrian doors and N-bracket hardware, side-opening garage doors, roller garage doors, sliding gates, swing gates, as well as motors (ProMatic, SupraMatic, LinéaMatic, VersaMatic, Rotamatic) and accessories (remote controls, keypads, flashing lights). It's also worth noting that Hörmann provides a relaxation room for breaks, allowing for extended informal discussions.

It should be noted that this training center offers six 8-hour modules, alternating between theory and practice: "Installation of sectional garage doors with Z-bracket hardware and their motors," "Installation of sectional garage doors with NL-bracket hardware and their motors," "Installation of side-opening garage doors and their motors," "Installation of motorized roller garage doors," "Garage door motors and accessories," and finally, "Motorization of garage doors, gates, and accessories." Furthermore, nearly 60 sessions are already planned for 2026, and additional modules will be added to the training offerings in 2026.

Finally, as the Hörmann Academy is Qualiopi certified, trainees can use their OPCO for financial support of their training (costing 400 euros excluding VAT per person, lunch being provided by Hörmann).
