The municipalities of Noailhac (Corrèze), Ambérieu-en-Bugey (Ain), Les Ponts-de-Cé (Maine-et-Loire), Alès Agglomération (Gard) and the Community of Communes of Pays-de-Saint-Yrieix ( Haute-Vienne) will be awarded their prizes by the representatives of the four organizing partners: the Association of Mayors of France and Presidents of Inter-municipal Councils, the Heritage Foundation, the Caisse d'Epargne and the Fédération Française du Bâtiment.
The 2019 edition will also be launched during this event during which the new partnership agreement will be signed. The aim of this competition is to reward municipalities and inter-municipal organizations which have carried out restoration or enhancement operations for their built heritage. Indeed, improving the living environment is more than ever at the heart of the concerns of the French. The operations that are awarded year after year with "Heritage Ribbons" illustrate the creativity and tenacity of the different players. They highlight the dynamism of the municipalities and their groups and the know-how of the craftsmen and entrepreneurs of the building as well as their companions.
2019 will mark the 25th anniversary of the competition and the arrival of a new partner, the French Grouping of Historic Monument Restoration Companies (GMH). Affiliated to the FFB, the GMH brings together more than 200 heritage restoration companies in 12 different trades (masonry-stone cutting, frame roofing, master glassmaker, stucco and staff, carpentry, sculpture, ironwork, gilding, restoration of works of art).
As for the Caisses d'Epargne, they are renewing their support through a commitment from their National Federation. For 200 years, the Caisses d'Epargne, regional cooperative banks, have been working on a daily basis to enhance the heritage and the economic and social development of their territories, with their 20 million customers, including 4,8 million members.
