Heidelberg Materials France rewards its partners committed to safety at the 1st edition of the Safety Partner Awards

Five ceremonies were held across France, bringing together stakeholders in the cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete and logistics industries.

Through this initiative, Heidelberg Materials France aims to highlight the remarkable achievements and contributions of its partners in the regions, while encouraging the sharing of best practices and a culture of continuous improvement. Four award categories were presented: operational excellence, most improved, vigilant partner, and innovation & best practice.

This initiative is also part of a national campaign by Heidelberg Materials France dedicated to safety, illustrating the group's commitment to an ever safer and more responsible working environment.

West, Pays de la Loire, Centre-East and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

• Operational Excellence: ASCI

Industrial maintenance company, ASCI The company notably intervened during major maintenance work at the Heidelberg Materials plant in Airvault. It performs preventive and corrective maintenance operations as well as the manufacture of custom parts. The company is recognized for the quality of its on-site work and serves as a benchmark for other stakeholders thanks to a particularly structured safety management system and detailed operating procedures that incorporate exemplary site marking and safety measures.

• Best progress: Solusfer

Specializing in the complete maintenance of concrete plants, Solusfer is distinguished for the significant progress in its commitment to safety, driven by the involvement of all its employees and by the implementation of solid action plans.

• Vigilant partner: Blanchard

A key player in national transport and customized logistics solutions, Blanchard is praised for its proactivity as well as for its culture of communication and security, both internally and externally.

• Innovation / best practice: Charier

A transport company specializing in the distribution of energy and fuels, Charier is rewarded for the experimentation of front dashcams. This device makes it possible to improve the assessment of liability in the event of an accident, to raise awareness among drivers of good driving practices and to contribute to the optimization of costs.

The awards ceremony was held March 26 in Airvault, Deux-Sèvres.

Southwest France

• Operational Excellence: Montussan Transport Services

Specializing in the transport of full or partial loads, as well as palletized freight and industrial logistics, Montussan Transport Services is honored for the quality of its safety management system, its driver training policy and its ability to evolve its standards to adapt to the group's activities.

• Best improvement: Plateau Maintenance Workshop

A family-owned company specializing in mechanical maintenance and metal fabrication, Plateau Maintenance Workshop distinguished itself through its proactivity, particularly in upskilling its teams through internal training, as well as for its active presence on the ground.

• Vigilant partner: SNATI

A subsidiary of the Veolia group specializing in sanitation and industrial cleaning, SNATI is recognized for its strong safety culture and for its feedback contributing to the continuous improvement of practices.

• Innovation / best practice: TNT

A company within the Castillon group specializing in quarry work as well as scalping, crushing and screening operations in the greater Southwest region, TNT is praised for its expertise which has enabled the implementation of new processes reducing the risk of accidents, in particular through the use of a long-arm shovel and specific grids limiting blockages on mobile screens.

Île-de-France, Normandy and Hauts-de-France

• Operational Excellence: Actemium Demousselle

Specializing in electrical installation work for all types of premises, Actemium Demousselle The company provides installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning services for electrical and automation systems. It has been recognized for its exemplary safety record: impeccable compliance during audits, strict adherence to instructions, a fully operational management system, strong involvement in awareness campaigns, constant vigilance in reporting dangerous situations, proactive preparation for interventions, enhanced field presence of managers, and responsiveness to technical incidents.

An SME specializing in industrial electricity, automation and maintenance of industrial installations, particularly those of concrete plants, SP2L is thus recognized for the application of a particularly rigorous safety policy. This includes, in particular, systematic safety inductions, compliance with prevention plans, effective reporting of information, and the absence of any reported accidents since 2005.

• Vigilant Partner: Madeline SODI

A subsidiary of the Veolia group specializing in sanitation and industrial cleaning, Madeline SODI has distinguished itself through its systematic reporting of anomalies and malfunctions on equipment. Its feedback helps to improve practices, while the systematic execution of the LMRA (last-minute risk analysis) and the rigorous application of lockout/tagout procedures enhance the safety of interventions.

• Innovation / Best Practice: VTG

Specializing in the rental, management and maintenance of railway wagons, VTG Rail Europe France supports manufacturers in the transport of goods by rail throughout Europe. The company is recognized for deploying an innovative QR code system providing immediate access to the qualifications, driving authorizations, and permits of each stakeholder, thereby improving skills management and safety on site.

Grand-Est

• Operational Excellence: LM Maintenance

Specializing in the maintenance of the concrete and construction materials industries, LM Maintenance has distinguished itself through its reliability, rigor and quality of communication, bringing added technical and organizational value beyond its interventions.

• Best progress: TCM

A key player in metal fabrication, pipework and assembly, MTC has been highlighted for its particularly mature safety culture: absence of accidents, regular investments in equipment, trained teams and interventions guided by precise operating procedures.

• Vigilant partner: FICAP

Specializing in vulcanization, FICAP demonstrates a solid and structured safety culture. Its ability to interrupt an operation in case of danger, the frequency of its audits, the national reporting of incidents and the use of appropriate equipment testify to a prevention deeply rooted in daily practices.

• Innovation / Best Practice: Varnier Transport

The vehicle fleet of Varnier Transport demonstrates a high level of maturity in terms of safety. Automatic phone blocking while driving, personalized driver coaching, and structured accident monitoring contribute to a lasting improvement in driving behavior.

• Operational Excellence: Brun Triconnet Brun (BTB)

A company specializing in the manufacture of metal structures, BTB It puts its recognized expertise in metal fabrication, industrial mechanics and piping at the service of demanding technical projects. It is highlighted for the consistency of its safety performance, supported by rigorous procedures and strong team involvement over several years.

• Best improvement: SODI

SODI, a subsidiary of the Veolia group involved in industrial maintenance and cleaning, has won the trophy for best progress in safety for its continuous efforts to strengthen prevention and protection of its teams.

• Vigilant partner: Canu Transport

Arles-based company specializing in local road freight transport, Canu Transport received a trophy for its exemplary commitment to security, illustrated in particular by its numerous reports of anomalies and the solutions proposed.

• Innovation / Best Practice: Patrick Ruf

A sole proprietorship specializing in the manufacture and production of metal structures for various industrial needs, Patrick Ruf wins the innovation / good practice trophy for its proposals to improve safety deployed on several of the group's industrial sites.

The awards ceremony was held March 27 in Beaucaire, in the Gard region.
