Hardelot: The exceptional Odunes residence enters a new phase with the official laying of the foundation stone

This ceremony was held in the presence of Mrs. Paulette JUILIEN-PEUVION, Mayor of Neufchâtel-Hardelot, Joris VRIELYNCK, General Manager of Compagnie Het Zoute, as well as the purchasers, representatives of partner companies, project management teams and all the stakeholders involved in this emblematic project of the Opal Coast.

A project that confirms its appeal

Located at the end of the Hardelot seawall, facing the sea and nestled in an exceptional setting between dunes and pine forests, Odunes embodies a new vision of coastal living, combining architectural quality, landscape integration, and environmental performance. The official start of construction today marks a decisive new step in the realization of this exceptional residential project, which will offer 108 luxury apartments by the end of 2028. Nine types of apartments are available for purchase, including three types of penthouses. Each apartment, regardless of the floor, offers a view of the sea, the dunes, or both. Living areas range from 53 m² to 101 m², complemented by generous terraces of up to 69 m². For example, an apartment with a partial sea and dune view will cost €340.000 on the first floor. For a penthouse with a view of the dunes, the selling price is €1.270.000.

Since its launch in May 2025, the program has experienced particularly positive momentum. "To date, 37% of the homes have already been sold, demonstrating the interest generated by this unique development on the coastline," says Joris VRIELYNCK, Managing Director of Compagnie Het Zoute.

Architecture in harmony with its environment

Designed by Arcas Architects, the Odunes residence embodies an architectural approach inspired by the site's natural forms. The four buildings that comprise the complex echo the gentle lines of the surrounding dunes and engage with the landscape through the use of high-quality materials, expansive glazing, and generous terraces. Odunes also incorporates high-performance technical solutions in compliance with the RE2020 environmental regulations for thermal performance: geothermal underfloor heating, passive cooling, dual-flow ventilation, high-performance glazing, and green roofs.

This approach reconciles comfort, energy efficiency, and environmental resilience within a preserved natural setting. "No compromises have been made. Every detail is designed to create a comprehensive and immersive experience. The shape of the terraces, their orientation, their transparency: everything contributes to blurring the line between the dwelling and the landscape," emphasizes Jean Majeau, the project's architect.

A new horizon for Hardelot

With this foundation stone laid, the Odunes residence now enters its construction phase. This project will contribute to strengthening Hardelot's residential and tourist appeal while respecting the landscape identity for which the Opal Coast is renowned. This new residence is a beautiful showcase for the town, one of the most unspoiled seaside resorts on the French coast, located between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Le Touquet. It is a preferred holiday destination for a clientele primarily from Northern France and Belgium, and to a lesser extent from the Paris region.
