Instantaneous production of domestic hot water (DHW) for optimal hygiene and comfort while guaranteeing the individualization of energy consumption in the community
To reaffirm its commitment to offering high-performance, reliable solutions adapted to the current challenges of energy management, GIACOMINI is launching its new range of GE556-SM4 Apartment Thermal Modules (ATMs) to meet the needs of heating and domestic hot water (DHW) installations in collective buildings, both new and renovated.
This new compact range, made up of single-block equipment and telescopic hydraulic connections, simplifies the implementation of the products.
3 solutions are available:
- ECS production model and radiator installations
- ECS production model and low temperature installations (underfloor heating or radiator)
- ECS and double circuit production model, installation of radiators and underfloor heating
In a context where energy performance and optimized resource management have become priorities, Apartment Thermal Modules (ATMs) are emerging as a cutting-edge solution. Designed to ensure instant production in each home and precise individualization of consumption, heating, and domestic hot water (DHW) in each home. They contribute to reducing energy consumption, while ensuring DHW hygiene and optimal comfort.
These three modules perfectly meet the technical and economic requirements of energy efficiency. They are suitable for all types of energy and generation systems, including heating networks, renewable energies, biomass energy, and collective heating systems. Their high technicality, ease of installation, and reliability make them a strategic choice for social landlords, real estate developers, and heating network operators.
A response to the energy challenges of collective buildings
Eco-districts, new housing, and renovations are strategic issues for municipalities. More than 70% of new urban construction incorporates energy efficiency and renewable energy objectives.
In this context, the MTA GE556-SM4 Modules stand out as an innovative and suitable solution offering optimized energy management and compliance with environmental standards while encouraging eco-citizen behavior.
Individualization and precise management of consumption
The GE556-SM4 MTAs are distinguished by their ability to individualize the energy needs of a collective building. Each module is equipped with energy meters ensuring a fair distribution of consumption. This feature ensures total transparency in the management of collective loads.
In concrete terms, the user controls and visualizes their heating, DHW and EFS consumption thanks to the presence of an energy meter, a hot water meter and a domestic cold water meter.
Energy performance at the heart of technology
The GE556-SM4 modules are distinguished by their high-level technical characteristics. Their nominal domestic hot water flow rate can reach 18 liters per minute depending on the heat exchanger configuration (16, 26, 36 or 50 plates), ensuring optimal comfort even in the event of high demand. The maximum operating pressure of the primary and secondary domestic hot water circuits is 10 bars.
The primary circuit operating temperature of 55°C to 90°C guarantees reliability suitable for the most demanding collective installations.
The primary circuit is designed to handle significant temperature differences (up to 40°C ΔT), thus optimizing the overall efficiency of the system. A water hammer damper protects the system from pressure variations, while the differential pressure limiting valve ensures hydraulic balance with a preset value of 50 kPa.
Advanced control devices ensure precise and stable temperature management by integrating:
- A priority valve for the production of sanitary water
- A thermostatic control valve for DHW production
- A COMPACT differential pressure limiting valve (40÷70 kPa) preset at 50 kPa
- A thermostatic bypass to maintain the DHW temperature of the exchanger (temperature range: 20÷70°C).
- A motorized control valve for controlling the ambient temperature of the heating.
A versatile, universal, compliant and easy-to-install solution
The GE556-SM4 MTAs are suitable for both new buildings and major renovations and fully meet the requirements of RE2020. Their compatibility with systems using renewable energies (district heating networks, biomass, solar thermal, heat pumps) makes them a sustainable solution that complies with current regulations.
Thanks to their modular design, MTAs can be configured according to the installation's constraints with top or bottom connections. This flexibility facilitates their integration into service ducts and optimizes the installation footprint. These modules are designed to minimize installation and commissioning time.
Their telescopic flat-span fittings with free nut simplify assembly and guarantee perfect sealing.
Integration is easy for any type of installation, whether it is radiator heating, low temperature heating (underfloor heating or radiators), or even a double circuit combining radiators and underfloor heating.
A robust design, designed for durability
The compact design of the GE556-SM4 modules, combined with white metal enclosures, makes them an elegant solution for modern installations. Their expanded polypropylene insulation shell ensures reduced heat loss and protects all components from temperature fluctuations and humidity.
Their robustness minimizes maintenance requirements. The GE556-SM4 MTAs are designed to limit maintenance thanks to components such as the water hammer damper, which protects the circuits against pressure variations.
Accessibility of hydraulic and control components facilitates meter control. Components can be replaced individually, reducing operating costs and service interruptions.
