Georges Balzer is appointed General Manager of Dekra Industrial France

Georges Balzer (59) has joined the DEKRA Group as Managing Director of DEKRA Industrial France since November 12, 2024. He reports to Peter Laursen, Chief Operation Officer, Member of the Management Board DEKRA SE. With his extensive knowledge of DEKRA's industry, businesses and markets, his mission will be to develop the business and contribute to the company's growth.

A graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure, Georges Balzer is an associate professor with a doctorate in Physics.

Georges Balzer has over 30 years of experience in the industrial sector, notably at EDF, Dalkia, Schneider Electric, where he held positions in research and development, major project management, marketing, sales and international business unit management. In 2009, he joined the Sodexo group as Managing Director of Sodexo Energy & Maintenance and Director of Major Projects for Sodexo France. From 2014 to 2017, he held the position of Executive Vice President of Socotec and led the company's transformation. Since 2017, he has been Executive President of KAEFER WANNER France, a group operating in the field of energy efficiency.
