For the renovation of a typical farmhouse in the North of France, Ouvêo combines its PVC joinery with aluminum shutters from Loubat Fermetures

In the village of Bourlon, located 8 kilometers west of Cambrai, a typical northern French house, recognizable by its orange and red brick facade, has been renovated.

The Ouvêo Haut de France team designed and manufactured a set of 10 PVC joinery pieces – Eudonie Design range in its production workshop in Masnières (59) and called on Loubat Fermetures to design 6 sets of double-leaf hinged shutters – Boreal ALU range, made in its workshop in Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot (47). To meet this high-end renovation project, the two brands of the Estémi group combined their expertise to create a unique tailor-made set including a harmonious color thanks to an identical RAL Joinery/Hinged Shutters, thus guaranteeing perfect harmony.

At the origin of this project, a couple Sophie and Frédéric decided in the 2000s to build a new house combining the advantages of new construction and renovation in strict compliance with regional codes. A successful bet, this modern house looks old. Their beautiful 200 m² farmhouse, with a tiled roof, located on a vast 2.100 m² plot, is a tribute to local architecture. The facade, typical of the region, is adorned with bricks arranged in a staggered pattern, providing stability and solidity to the wall. For the interior, it is through their travels that they shape their decoration composed of furniture and objects from multiple trends and inspirations. Together, they give a soul to this family home which welcomes their 7 children.

An identical RAL for a harmonious set of PVC joinery and ALU shutters

In the 2020s, the couple decided to launch a major project to change the joinery and closures of their farmhouse. The challenge was to create a harmonious ensemble composed of joinery (windows and French windows) and closures (swing shutters). To do this, they drew inspiration from the sets in the Ouvêo showroom and the historic architecture of houses in the North and Belgium, combining gray with red brick. Like the other homes in the village, Sophie and Frédéric's farmhouse has openings only on its south facade, thus benefiting from sunshine all day long. As for the north facade, it was designed with few openings; only the windows of the laundry room and the ground floor toilets were installed there, in order to protect the house from the harsh cold.

For the 1st floor, which has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom and a table football area, 4 windows are made, including 3 sitting dogs and 1 gable window.
On the ground floor, arranged around a large living room, a kitchen and laundry room, an office and a bathroom, 2 windows and 4 French windows are made, each equipped with hinged shutters.
