The FFB alerts the new National Assembly: housing must be a major national cause!

In a difficult budgetary context, the FFB is demanding that cross-party commissions be quickly set up, in the National Assembly as in the Senate, with all tendencies represented, to deal with a constructive pact in France.

In recent months, the FFB has issued several warnings and also made numerous proposals. These include:

• the re-establishment of a universal zero-rate loan to help young people and low-income households to access home ownership;
• maintaining a regime favorable to private rental investment, either with the extension of Pinel or in the form of private lessor status;
• the stabilization of MaPrimRenov' in its current system, by strengthening controls, to massify renovation while fighting against fraud;
• the deployment of a concerted five-year plan to provide the expected visibility to all stakeholders, both for social housing and private housing, for home ownership and rental, for new construction and renovation;
• the creation of a National Construction Council to address immediate blockages, but above all to initiate a sector-wide approach taking into account the environmental and digital transitions in which France is engaged and the challenges in terms of jobs and apprenticeships.

For Olivier Salleron, president of the FFB: "In mainland France and overseas, construction is not only a fundamental need but also a strong territorial framework. Professionals will only be able to continue to invest and hire if the policy implemented in this area is both clear, realistic and consistent over time. Without this visibility, 150.000 jobs will be under threat by 2025."
