PPE: Enerplan calls for avoiding further uncertainty surrounding solar energy

While the ambitions embodied in the PPE (Multi-Year Energy Program) are the result of a compromise, they have the significant merit of restoring much-needed visibility to the industry. Enerplan supported the necessity of this compromise: the waiting period for the publication of the PPE was untenable for solar energy stakeholders, with very significant economic and social consequences.

Passing a motion of censure under the pretext of the publication of the PPE would contribute to plunging all energy professionals back into uncertainty, with disastrous consequences for employment.

Enerplan therefore calls for the rejection of these motions of censure.

For Daniel Bour, President of Enerplan: “These motions of censure are clearly not being tabled for ecological or economic reasons. It would be incomprehensible for parties that support the development of renewable energies in their platforms to participate in such votes, which are highly detrimental to the solar energy sector and its 60.000 employees. The published Multiannual Energy Program (PPE) is not perfect, but it allows us to move forward and escape the deadlock we were in. As we progress in implementing the PPE, the consequences of such votes would lead to an unbearable step backward and plunge us back into uncertainty.”
