Energy renovation: the government is launching a reform of the RGE (Recognized Environmental Guarantor) certification to simplify access to construction sites from 2027

The government intends to remove a major obstacle to the development of energy-efficient renovations: the complexity of accessing subsidized projects. A reform of the RGE (Recognized Environmental Guarantor) scheme, announced for early 2027, should broaden the number of companies eligible to carry out these projects.

It particularly emphasizes the recognition of practical experience through the VAE (Validation of Acquired Experience), considered a concrete lever for facilitating access to RGE (Recognized Environmental Guarantor) certification.

The French Building Federation (FFB) shares the observation that the system is too complex, but insists on the need to go further by calling for a “real and rapid” simplification.

For the federation, the challenge is clear: to reduce the time and costs associated with accessing qualifications, which are currently hindering many businesses. It also warns of the risk of a mere announcement without concrete impact if the procedures remain cumbersome.

The FFB is therefore calling for a rapid and operational implementation, in order to avoid a further slowdown in the market.

On the ground, craftsmen see this reform as an opportunity… but remain cautious.

Many are denouncing:
