The government has released a draft decree and order defining the conditions for restarting MaPrimeRénov' – large-scale renovations and extending the entire scheme to 2026.
The FFB cannot rejoice in this announcement. In fact, this apparently good news masks a severe downsizing.
On the one hand, aid for major renovations would be limited to housing in the EFG DPE classes, with a significant reduction. On the other hand, wall insulation and the installation of biomass boilers would be excluded from aid for single-use projects in 2026.
For Olivier Salleron, president of the FFB: "France's energy policy is being sacrificed on the altar of Bercy! The proposed revision will only definitively destroy the energy renovation market in France, which has already been struggling since mid-2024. How could households, but also craftsmen and building contractors, understand the repetition of such U-turns? FFB members' red cards are likely to be brought out again if these texts are published!"
