Eiffage wants to buy Sun'R, specialist in solar energy and agrivoltaism

The balance of the capital will be kept by the founder Antoine Nogier and the management team, and the operation - the amount of which is not disclosed - will be carried out by buying back existing shares simultaneously with a capital increase fully subscribed by Eiffage, indicates the group in a press release.

Installation of solar power plants on the ground or solar panels on agricultural buildings, Sun'R, created in 2007, is also specialized in solar shades on public car parks or shopping centers. The company is also one of the pioneers of agrivoltaism in France, that is to say an agricultural tool for crop protection consisting of shutters protecting plants from the sun's rays and producing electricity.

Sun'R obtained the status of a company with a mission in 2021 and has set itself the objective of accelerating the agricultural and energy transitions in order to respond to the consequences of global warming.

It has a portfolio of more than 100 megawatts (MW) in operation and 300 MW in development in France and abroad. In agrivoltaism, the Sun'Agri subsidiary has 220 hectares protected or under study, equivalent to a power of around 150 MW.

In addition, Volterres, the short-circuit green electricity subsidiary, will deliver 600 GWh in 2022 to 10.000 professional sites thanks to a network of more than 40 partner renewable energy production plants.

With this acquisition, Eiffage intends to "accelerate its deployment in renewable energies". The completion of the acquisition should take place "during the second half of 2".
