The French construction, infrastructure and motorway concession group Eiffage saw its activity grow by 13,1% in the first quarter, driven in particular by "strong momentum" in the works.
The group's turnover over these three months amounted to more than 4,9 billion euros.
The works branch posted an increase of 14%, to 4,1 billion. Over one year, the order book grew by 15%, to 19,9 billion euros, in particular with renewable energies and transport infrastructure.
Only real estate is down (-18,7% to 191 million), in a general context of a sluggish real estate market, with the fall in new housing in France only partially offset by renovation and public and industrial investment.
On the concessions side, revenues increased by 8,7%, to 835 million euros, partly due to an increase in road and air traffic.
Traffic on the APRR network, in number of kilometers traveled, was up 1,8% at March 31, and the entity's revenue increased by 6,4%.
Airport concessions (Lille and Toulouse) recorded a significant increase in passenger traffic (+31,1% compared to the 1st quarter of 2022, -22,4% compared to the 1st quarter of 2019), for a turnover of 40 million euros, up 31,9%.
The group confirms its outlook for 2023, with a further increase in its Works activity, and Concessions thanks in particular to the gradual normalization of airport traffic, the integration of Sun'R (photovoltaic energy) and "the robustness of motorway traffic" .
