Edilteco® France expands its range of lightweight screeds and mortars with Kronos Autoliv, the high-performance fiber-reinforced leveling compound

Until now, EDILTECO® offered a wide range of high-performance lightweight mortars and screeds. With KRONOS AUTOLIV, the company now complements its expertise by integrating a solution that enhances its systems. Designed for new construction and renovation projects, this new floor coating guarantees an optimally finished surface before the installation of floor coverings such as tiles, parquet flooring, flexible or rigid plastic floor coverings, and textiles in P2 and P3 classified areas.

The benefit for applicators is immediate: having, from a single supplier, a complete and complementary range, from the preparation of mortar or lightweight screed, to the finishing of the substrate to receive the floor covering, with compatible and high-performance products.

Flatness correction: a fiber-reinforced, self-levelling and robust solution

KRONOS AUTOLIV is a self-leveling, fiber-reinforced floor screed specifically designed for EDILTECO® lightweight screeds and mortars ≥ 300 kg/m³. Classified according to EN 13813 CT-C30-F6, it meets the most stringent requirements for mechanical resistance, with a compressive strength of 30 MPa and a flexural strength of 6 MPa. This makes it a natural and high-performance complement to the brand's flooring solutions, ideal for areas subject to P2 and P3 traffic, in both new construction and renovation projects.

Its advantage is twofold: on the one hand, it provides high mechanical resistance (30 MPa), higher than the average found on equivalent products on the market, and on the other hand, it accelerates the sequence of operations thanks to optimized waiting times (pedestrian traffic around 4 hours, tiling or textiles at 24 hours, plastic floors 48 hours, glued parquet 96 hours).

Versatile and compatible with most floor coverings (glued tiles, floating or glued parquet flooring, flexible or rigid plastic coverings, textiles), as well as with thin acoustic systems and SPEC/SEL type water protections, KRONOS AUTOLIV stands out as a reliable and technical solution.

Careful implementation is essential for performance.

The substrates must comply with current regulations, standards, DTUs (Unified Technical Documents), technical specifications, etc. Based on this, the application of Edilstik® latex-based bonding primer is systematic and adapted to the substrate's porosity. Mixing is carried out strictly according to the proportions until a smooth, homogeneous, and lump-free paste is obtained; the mixture is left to rest for 2 to 3 minutes, then remixed just before use, avoiding any excess water.

The application is carried out in a single pass with a stainless steel trowel: on the forward stroke, the product is pulled "zero" (trowel held more vertically) to fill the pores and expel air, then on the return stroke, the thickness is adjusted (trowel held more horizontally) to obtain a smooth surface; if a debubbling roller is used, it is used continuously during the application. The application thickness varies according to the room classification: P2 rooms: 1 to 10 mm and P3 rooms: 3 to 10 mm.

Finally, as with all applications, site conditions must be controlled: application between +5°C and +30°C, on a non-frozen, non-soaked, and non-overheated surface, avoiding drafts and direct sunlight in the first few hours, etc.
