According to Laurent Mainy, director of EDILTECO® France, this period allowed the company to reorganize in depth in order to better cope with a particularly difficult economic context for the construction sector.
“We had to adapt to the evolution of the French construction market, which entered a crisis in 2023. Our processes and investments made our structure too rigid. The receivership procedure, which we voluntarily requested, was a tool to rethink our organization and find a more balanced way of operating.” Laurent Mainy, director of EDILTECO® France.
Over the past fourteen months, the company has undertaken a comprehensive restructuring, based in particular on a thorough analysis of its costs and operating methods. Several key decisions have been made to strengthen its long-term viability, including the reorganization of certain production sites. For example, one of the two sites located in the Vaucluse region was closed in order to concentrate resources at the other and optimize the industrial infrastructure. Of the 14 employees affected, 2 were reassigned to the neighboring site, demonstrating the company's commitment to preserving jobs as much as possible.
This transformation phase has also strengthened the company's fundamentals, focusing on two major priorities: ensuring product quality and maintaining certifications, while optimizing cost control.
Management also highlights the crucial role of all teams in this success.
"Employee mobilization was a key factor. Without their daily involvement and commitment, this turnaround would not have been possible." Laurent Mainy points out.
The company also benefited from the support of its partners. Customers, suppliers, and industrial players supported EDILTECO® France throughout this period, demonstrating a spirit of solidarity that greatly contributed to the success of this restructuring.
“We were touched by the understanding and loyalty of our partners. This demonstrates that, behind business relationships, there is also a human dimension.” adds Laurent Mainy.
Established in France for over 25 years, EDILTECO® France remains an independent, family-owned SME, a positioning that has become rare in the construction sector. This identity has undoubtedly strengthened the collective commitment that has enabled the company to weather this period.
Paolo Stabellini, president of EDILTECO® SpA, the Italian parent company that originated the group and has been active for 45 years, also wishes to acknowledge the commitment of all the teams that supported the French SME during this restructuring phase.
“I would like to thank all the employees of the group who rallied alongside EDILTECO® France to help it get through this period and successfully complete its restructuring. Their commitment and solidarity were crucial.” Paolo Stabellini, president of EDILTECO® SpA
He also points out that the group's strength lies in close cooperation between its entities.
“Our research and development center, based in Italy, works closely with the French teams to design increasingly tailored and efficient solutions for the French market. This capacity for innovation and this synergy between our teams are essential drivers of success and recovery for EDILTECO® France.” Paolo Stabellini, president of EDILTECO® SpA
With this new organization, EDILTECO® France now intends to consolidate its positions in its historical markets while continuing to develop new opportunities.
Innovation and the continuous improvement of technical solutions will remain key priorities. In this context, and with Batimat approaching, EDILTECO® France plans to launch three new products, the first of which, KRONOS AUTOLIV, is already available.
This momentum will also be highlighted at the upcoming Batimat trade fair, where EDILTECO® France and EDILTECO® SpA will be exhibiting side-by-side. This will be an opportunity for the French SME to reaffirm its industrial commitment, its expertise, and its desire to continue its development in service of the building industry.
