Ecocem appoints its new Managing Director

Ecocem announces the appointment of Thierry Legrand as Managing Director of Ecocem France.

His career is characterized by a strong international dimension, with positions held in Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as by proven expertise in the industrial, operational and strategic challenges of the sector.

After a dozen years at Lafarge Cements, during which he held various positions, Thierry Legrand held several top responsibilities within the group: President and CEO of the plasterboard and coatings business for Germany and the Netherlands, Country CEO of Lafarge South Africa, Head of Innovation and Commercial Transformation for the Lafarge Group, CEO of Lafarge Malaysia, Head of logistics optimization and mineral components for LafargeHolcim in Europe.

Before joining Ecocem France, he held the position of President Europe of Fortera, a Franco-American start-up working to decarbonize cement production.

His experience in organizational transformation and his long-standing commitment to the decarbonization of construction are key assets to support the development of Ecocem France, which he joined at the end of 2025.
