Discover the 2026 winners of the Regional Timber Construction Award

Organized annually by Fibois Île-de-France, the Regional Timber Construction Prize is part of the momentum of the National Timber Construction Prize. It aims to promote exemplary projects in the Île-de-France forestry and timber sector and to highlight innovative, sustainable architectural projects rooted in the ecological transition of the building sector.

This year, 11 winners were recognized through 8 prizes, 2 special prizes, and a special mention from the jury, illustrating the diversity of the projects presented as well as the growing excellence of projects in the field of timber construction and bio-based materials. The projects are evaluated by a jury of industry professionals based on criteria of architectural quality, innovation, environmental performance, and integration into the site.

The evening was opened by Paul Jarquin, president of Fibois Île-de-France and founding president of REI Habitat, before the address by the guest of honor, Hélène Croze, deputy prefect and secretary general for public policy at the Île-de-France regional prefecture. The presidents of the 2026 jury, Anne-Cécile Comar and Philippe Croisier, partner architects at Atelier du Pont, then shared their perspectives on this year's competition and praised the quality of the projects presented as well as the commitment of the participating teams.

The ceremony was then hosted by Clara Anguenot, co-founder and head of the Les Nuits des Forêts Festival, who gave the evening a lively pace and highlighted each winning project through presentations and discussions.

Beyond the awards, this edition confirms the role of the Regional Timber Construction Prize as a highlight of the industry, by promoting exemplary projects and innovative approaches to more sustainable construction.

2026 Laureates

The 2026 Regional Timber Construction Award recognized projects across 8 categories:

• Learning - having fun: "Simone Veil School Group", in Tremblay-en-France (93)
• Working - welcoming: "Evolving school canteen", in Igny (91)
• Rehabilitating a facility: "Mixed complex with timber extension, Poissonniers", in Paris 18th arrondissement (75)
• Living together: “Housing Cour des Lyanes”, in Paris 20th arrondissement (75)
• Housing rehabilitation: "Transformation of a parking lot into housing – Social housing", in Paris 17th arrondissement (75)
• Living in a house: "Maison de l'Orée", in Barbizon (77)
• Interior design: "Simone Veil school group", in Tremblay-en-France (93)
• Landscaping the exterior: "La Petite Agora", in Versailles (78)

Two additional prizes were also awarded:

• Student and apprentice prize: "Maison de l'Orée", in Barbizon (77)
• Schools prize: "Groupe scolaire Yvonne Kerzrého" in Nanterre (92)

Finally, a special mention from the jury completed the list of winners:

• Special mention "Participatory and committed approach": "Maison de la Réserve" in Epinay-sur-Seine (93)

Towards the National Timber Construction Award

Each winner from the Île-de-France region is automatically qualified for the National Timber Construction Prize, the awards ceremony for which will be held at the Batimat trade fair, from September 28 to October 1, 2026, in Paris - Porte de Versailles.
