Armel Ferey was a well-known local figure in the Manche region, particularly in the areas of Barneville-Carteret, Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte and Sainte-Mère-Église. He dedicated his life to his work, his family and the sea, a passion he shared with those around him.
Armel Ferey, founder of SIMOP alongside his brother Éric, was a visionary entrepreneur. He dedicated his professional life to developing, growing, and consolidating the family business SIMOP, before handing over its management to his sons.
He was president of the SNPEAI union (National Union of Producers of Individual Sanitation Equipment), which later became IFAA, now ATEP – Actors in the Treatment of Plot Waters.
Armel Ferey also served as a judge at the Cherbourg Commercial Court, demonstrating throughout his life a strong professional and civic commitment.
A passionate, lively, and friendly man, Armel deeply loved people. He was a father of three, a very close grandfather to his eight grandchildren, and a true sailing enthusiast and lover of the sea.
In a statement, the management and all employees of SIMOP expressed their condolences to his wife Brigitte, his children and his grandchildren.
