Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility becomes the financial agent of Anah to advance the payment of MaPrimeRenov'

Since November 20, 2025, as part of the MaPrimeRénov' scheme, public aid for energy renovation, Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility has become the first banking player approved as a financial agent by the Anah (National Housing Agency).

This approval will allow Sofinco, its commercial brand in France specializing in personal financing, to support craftsmen and their clients by advancing the public aid MaPrimeRénov', thus contributing to supporting the renovation of housing throughout the territory.

This initiative reflects the Crédit Agricole Group's commitment to supporting all its customers in their energy transition by offering simple, reliable solutions tailored to their needs. To make renovation and energy efficiency accessible to everyone, Crédit Agricole created "J'écorénove mon Logement" (I'm Eco-Renovating My Home) and a range of services to inform, guide, and help its customers realize their projects.

Financial support to unlock housing renovations in France

The Climate and Resilience Law, which aims to enable France to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030[1], translates into the implementation of several measures designed to reduce the number of energy-inefficient homes (those rated F and G) and energy-guzzling buildings. The stakes are high, and the objectives set by the Government are ambitious: to increase the number of renovations to reach a rate of 900.000 high-performance renovations per year, including 200.000 comprehensive renovations by 2030[2].

Given the scale of the issue, Sofinco, as a financier, is multiplying its initiatives to support the launch of renovation projects in France and aims to finance 1 billion euros of work annually by 2028.

As a financial agent approved by the French National Housing Agency (Anah), Sofinco will advance the MaPrimeRénov' public subsidy amount for each eligible renovation project and pay it directly to the RGE (Recognized Environmental Guarantor) certified contractors listed – whether they are partners or not. This public subsidy can then be deducted from the quote presented to the homeowner.

Sofinco will also rely on the expertise of administrative agents, including Homelior.

Through this practical approach, the goal is to reduce the immediate out-of-pocket expenses for homeowners so they can begin their renovation work more quickly. The advance payment of aid will not be contingent on obtaining Sofinco financing to cover the remaining costs.

Through this accreditation, Sofinco reaffirms its commitment to combating fraud and ensures the reliable payment of MaPrimeRénov' grants to professionals. This allows its partner tradespeople to position themselves as trusted third parties and gives homeowners greater peace of mind.

Supporting RGE-certified tradespeople

71% of tradespeople believe that the procedures for accessing public aid hinder their clients' projects[3]. Advance payments of aid are therefore a way to reassure homeowners, strengthen trust in tradespeople, and thus boost the sector.

Sofinco currently has over 1.800 RGE-certified tradespeople among its partners. These tradespeople will be able to benefit from its financial agent status in the coming weeks. In parallel, Sofinco invites non-partner RGE-certified tradespeople to express their interest and desire to partner with the financial institution on its website: pro.sofinco.fr.

By becoming a financial agent, we allow RGE-certified tradespeople to deduct the MaPrimeRénov' amount from their quotes, removing a financial barrier to accelerate the start of projects. We hope in this way to support the necessary transition of the French housing stock and enable as many people as possible to live in comfortable and more energy-efficient homes.”
