Colas wins seven road maintenance contracts in Finland

In a tender issued by the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency and the Southwest Finland Economic Development Centre, Destia has been awarded five new contracts and renewed two existing ones. These contracts cover several geographical areas in Finland: Ylivieska, Lappeenranta, Orivesi, Raasepori, Veteli, and Pietarsaari for the period 2026–2031, and Nummi for the period 2026–2028. All contracts will enter into force on October 1, 2026.

Destia will be responsible for the maintenance of gravel roads, winter operations, and road environment management in the areas concerned. These services include the maintenance of green spaces, drainage systems, road signs, and equipment and structures located along the roads. The objective is to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow throughout the year, despite challenging weather conditions.

The company will rely in particular on its Winter Maintenance Management Centre, which directs interventions based on near real-time meteorological data in order to optimize snow removal and road treatment.
