CSTB: Jonathan Sebbane proposed by the government to succeed Étienne Crépon

The Minister for Urban Affairs and Housing, Vincent Jeanbrun, praises the career and commitment of Étienne Crépon, who is leaving the presidency of the CSTB after more than ten years at its head.

Étienne Crépon devoted a large part of his career to public policies on housing, urban planning and construction. Joining the Ministry of Housing in 1993, he held numerous responsibilities within the State, in public institutions as well as in ministerial offices, before heading the Directorate of Housing, Urban Planning and Landscapes (DHUP), then taking over the presidency of the CSTB in 2014.

Under his leadership, the CSTB strengthened its scientific, technical and international influence. He supported the transformation and growth of the institution, developed its subsidiaries and forged numerous partnerships in service of innovation, construction quality and the environmental transition of the building sector.

Vincent Jeanbrun wishes to express his sincere thanks to him for his commitment to serving the general interest and the housing of the French people.

The minister also welcomes the upcoming appointment of Jonathan Sebbane as Chairman and CEO of the CSTB.

After experience at the Ministry of Ecology and the Île-de-France Region, Jonathan Sebbane had been leading the SOGARIS group since 2016. This public-private real estate company specializes in developing buildings dedicated to urban logistics and productive activities. Under his leadership, the group experienced strong growth, focused on decarbonizing the flow of goods and developing a model of public sovereignty serving the common good.

With his experience in urban, environmental and planning issues, Jonathan Sebbane will bring to the CSTB a valuable strategic vision to support the transformations of the construction sector and respond to the major challenges of housing, ecological transition, research and innovation.
