"We provide craftsmen with tools that allow them to obtain the best results with greater speed, simplicity and security, and at a lower cost", explains Lennart de Vet, member of the Management Board of Robert Bosch Power Tools GmbH in charge of professional power tools.
The major criteria are effectiveness and efficiency. The opening of the 18-volt battery platform offers strong added value to professional users: thanks to the partnership concluded with Brennenstuhl, Sulzer, Klauke, Ledlenser, Lena Lighting, Sonlux and Wagner, all experts in their field, Bosch offers a range of 'application extends even further and further enhances flexibility for the use of specialized products such as construction site floodlights, cartridge guns, electro-hydraulic cutting tools and paint guns. And other manufacturers will follow.
Now, the professional user only has one battery and one charger to carry, saving time, money and space. No more accumulation of incompatible batteries and chargers of different brands.
“The opening of the Professional 18V System marks the first step in a global partnership with strong brands. The objective is to offer professional users the best 18 volt system common to many brands and many countries, and thus offer them a further gain in efficiency ”, specifies Lennart de Vet.
Partners and users trust the Bosch brand
The battery system common to manufacturers is based on Bosch battery technology.
“The Professional 18V System offers high added value to our users, for example thanks to the fastest charging on the market. There was no doubt in our eyes for our high performance LED work lights: only cooperation with the technology leader was possible ”, says Ralf Nickles of Brennenstuhl.
Roman Thoenig from Sulzer emphasizes the flexibility and versatility of the system: “The Professional 18V System already includes more than 180 tools, and we are an important link in it. We are enriching the system with our complete line of one and two component cordless applicators for the Cox and Mk brands. ”
Tim Lumme de Klauke relies on the strength of the system. “Many of our customers own Bosch tools. With our new Orange tools, we now offer them unique electro-hydraulic safety tools, featuring triple insulation and running on Bosch batteries. This creates a strong added value. "
Bosch itself will expand the wireless segment by offering 100 new devices by 2022, setting a record for launching wireless devices in two years. The share of cordless power tools will increase from 60% to 80% over the next three years.
"We believe in Bosch's capacity for innovation and are investing in a safe, state-of-the-art system that will remain so in the future", says Thomas Willing of Ledlenser. “Our current contribution is the high-performance XP30R search projector, which offers maximum light output for a very long range and good portability. "
Full compatibility since 2008 is another advantage of the system. “Compatibility offers maximum freedom and simplicity. We couldn't make a better promise to our customers ”, says Artur Temnicki of Lena Lighting. “Our new compact Magnum Future Led XS LED spotlight offers many useful features to craftsmen and guarantees them efficient and energy-efficient lighting for all workspaces. "
Quality and robustness also play an important role for professional use. Christian Woehner from Sonlux: “Bosch batteries are designed to meet the tough demands of jobsite use, such as our new Gladiator SL I Accu LED work light which complements our Gladiator SL product family. It is a versatile solution for ensuring light safety on construction sites. "
For coating specialist Thomas Jeltsch from Wagner, availability and flexibility are decisive factors. “Like Bosch, we have a global presence and want to ensure our customers have access to the very latest battery technology. We are convinced that wireless devices offer them maximum flexibility, which they will not want to give up in the future. "
To date, more than 60 million Bosch branded professional 18-volt lithium-ion batteries have already been sold worldwide. Alongside its partners, Bosch is advancing the wireless construction site of the future.
