AI: a productivity lever for analytical and administrative professions

The study conducted by Wüest Partner shows that generative artificial intelligence has significant potential to improve efficiency and productivity, particularly in analytically intensive professions. For example, real estate financial analysts, asset managers, and marketing managers are seeing efficiency gains of up to 50% thanks to the automation of reporting tasks, the optimization of market analyses, and improved decision-making.

Similarly, asset managers and real estate finance experts benefit from AI for the automation of repetitive tasks and rapid analysis of large amounts of data, thus accelerating decision-making processes and investment strategy.

A more limited impact on technical and manual professions

While AI has many use cases in finance and real estate asset management, its impact is more limited on technical professions, such as architects and building engineers. On average, these professions see efficiency gains of 20 to 30%, mainly through assistance in designing plans, interpreting technical documents, and verifying compliance with standards.

As for professions requiring a high level of physical presence (masons, carpenters, roofers, etc.), the impact of AI is less than 10%, as the majority of tasks cannot be automated. However, it can provide occasional support by facilitating communication, training, and access to technical documentation.

The study also reveals that a large number of professions could achieve substantial efficiency gains by implementing even simple features offered by generative AI. By combining the writing, search, and information synthesis capabilities of GPT models, it is possible to capture nearly a quarter of the potential efficiency gains offered by generative AI. Furthermore, data analysis plays a major role for approximately a third of professions in the real estate sector.

While the potential gains are significant, the adoption of AI in the real estate sector faces several challenges. Resistance to change, data protection, and integration into existing systems still limit its widespread deployment.
