Artelia continues its growth in Northern Europe with the acquisition of Icelandic engineering company HNIT

This operation is part of its development strategy in the Nordic market, where Artelia already has a strong presence with more than 1.500 employees in Denmark and Norway.

Based in Reykjavík, HNIT Consulting Engineers has over 50 years of experience in civil engineering, with a team of 40 employees.

Renowned for its expertise in planning, design, project management, and construction supervision, HNIT has extensive experience delivering complex projects in Iceland, including the Karahnjukar and Budarhals hydroelectric power plants. The company is also a key partner to public authorities in Iceland, thanks to its ability to manage demanding construction projects.

After several projects carried out in collaboration with Artelia, notably for the high-level bus service in Reykjavik, this merger opens up new perspectives for HNIT, offering it the opportunity to participate in projects of international scope.
