The aid for hiring an apprentice will still be "reserved for companies with fewer than 250 employees" from January 1st and will remain at 5.000 euros for the first year, due to the lack of adoption of a budget for 2026, the Ministry of Labour specified on Friday.

"Aid for employers hiring apprentices will, from January 1, 2026, only be provided within the legal framework set by the Labor Code," a statement from the Ministry of Labor indicated.
