Appointment of Karine Havas as President of Bureau Veritas France and Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the Group

Karine Havas will take up her new role on October 1 and will report directly to Hinda Gharbi, CEO of Bureau Veritas.

Karine Havas previously held the position of Senior Vice President Finance within the Executive Committee of Bureau Veritas France and was Managing Director of Capital Energy, a subsidiary of the Group, specializing in energy transition.

Previously, Karine Havas was President and Chief Financial Officer of IKEA France, where she led the e-commerce transformation and the COVID-19 crisis. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at the Stellantis Group (in the logistics subsidiary Gefco) in Spain, the UK, and France, where she held leadership positions in logistics, finance, and operations, and led transformation projects.

A graduate of SKEMA Business School with a Master of Science in Corporate Finance, Karine Havas began her career with a 15-year international career as a professional volleyball player. She served as captain of the French national volleyball team.
