Aero Cime, a complete complementary waterproofing system for pitched roofs in lowland and mountain climates

Until now, bituminous solutions were the standard for this type of application. Today, EDILIANS is launching the AERO CIME process. Offering a true alternative, it is faster, easier to install, and lighter. This complementary underlayment waterproofing membrane, certified under ATEx, is thus an ideal solution for pitched roofs, whether located at high altitudes or in plains.

A reliable, weatherproof seal

Thanks to its advanced technical design, which consists of a non-woven polyester support coated with a polyacrylate coating on its top layer, the AERO CIME process from EDILIANS ensures water tightness as well as water vapor permeability of pitched roofs located in plains and mountain climates up to 2000 m altitude.

Suitable for both new construction and renovation projects, even on the most complex structures, its reliability makes it effective even in cases where the building's configuration prevents small roofing elements (tiles, shingles, slates, etc.) from guaranteeing complete protection. The AERO CIME process also addresses demanding cases of slope reduction using EDILIANS terracotta tiles, subject to validation by its engineering department.

With exceptional durability, it has a tensile strength of R3 allowing it to be installed on continuous support, on insulation or directly on rafters with a maximum center distance of 90 cm (in plains).

Supplied in rolls 26 m long and 2,5 m wide, AERO CIME DBA, with an integrated double adhesive strip, facilitates the implementation of the membrane, guaranteeing impeccable air and water tightness between the seam joints.

For use in mountainous areas (between 900 and 1500 m altitude), EDILIANS offers a complete range of NF Montagne certified terracotta roof tiles. These include the highly curved OMEGA 10 and OMEGA 13 Ste Foy tiles, the slightly curved H10 Huguenot or PV 10 Huguenot tiles, and the slightly curved flat-profile ALPHA 10 Ste Foy tiles.

Flexibility and ease of installation

Further proof, if any were needed, of its durability and reliability, the EDILIANS AERO CIME DBA system was tested by the CSTB (French Scientific and Technical Center for Building) under real-world conditions after 11 years of use at an altitude of 1200 meters. The results are unequivocal: even after more than a decade of exposure, the product retains characteristics virtually identical to its original specifications (10-year warranty). Validated by a committee of independent experts, these performance figures attest to the system's reliability and safety.

Flexible, lightweight, and highly tear-resistant, the AERO CIME waterproofing membrane is easy to handle, even in the most challenging installation conditions. Installed by overlapping perpendicular to the eaves with cantilevered battens or parallel to them on rafters, it also offers great flexibility on construction sites thanks to its durable resistance to UV radiation (10.000 hours) and weathering (up to 1 month outdoors), validated by ATEx (Technical Assessment for Experimentation), a guarantee of reliability and recognition from both professionals and insurers.
