Acorus signs a partnership agreement with Impala Avenir Développement to strengthen the “Les Geeks du Bâtiment” program

This agreement, signed by Florian du Boÿs and Philippe Benquet, marks a key step for the future of the “Les Geeks du Bâtiment” project, designed to promote the professional integration of young people who are far from employment.

A partnership serving integration

The shared objective is clear: to offer a chance for professional integration to young people without qualifications and RSA beneficiaries, mostly from priority neighborhoods under the city's policy. Thanks to this partnership, these groups will benefit from short, practical training courses, delivered directly by construction professionals, in a skills-based sponsorship approach. They will then be supported until they find employment within companies that are members of the partner network, of which Acorus is a part. Those who wish to further their skills will join a qualifying training program.

A local commitment

In Orvault (44), the 400-hour immersive training offered by Acorus Académie perfectly illustrates this approach. This experiment allowed participants to access educational projects in real conditions, in the heart of the territories, in premises provided by CDC Habitat. The same logic is deployed at Paris Porte de Bagnolet, where young people living in the social housing of the Python-Duvernois district will be able to join, directly at the foot of their building, the training provided from October 27 by the Gustave Eiffel Center, within the premises of the RIVP. In Ecouen (95), another integration program developed by Impala – “Les Plombiers du Numérique” – is supported by Acorus, with the aim of training young people in the IRVE technician profession. Everywhere, the principle remains the same: bringing together training, employment, and priority neighborhoods in a pragmatic and effective way.

An innovative and immersive pedagogy

For three months, these "construction geeks" learn the basics of plumbing, electricity, painting, and tiling. They obtain their electrical certification and learn professional skills directly on construction sites. The training also incorporates customer relations and educates young people about eco-renovation.

Beyond technical skills, the program values ​​motivation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn on the job. The challenge is twofold: to support young people toward sustainable integration into the world of work and to meet the growing need for skilled labor in the construction industry.
