Acorus rides the wave of energy renovation
After a record final quarter, Metz ended 2024 with a turnover of €11,3 million, up 11% compared to 2023 (€10,1 million). Business with individuals is driven by growing demand for energy renovations. Condominiums are also firmly committed to massive investment plans, with energy prices heavily penalizing co-owners and the obligation to upgrade the energy labels of homes, or risk no longer being able to rent them out.
Among the major projects, we can note that of the La Pommeraie residence in Olivet and Foncia Athena in Orléans.
2025: an ambitious development strategy
This year, the company's priority areas of development in the region will be:
- develop its eco-renovation offer for tertiary (offices, hotels) and industrial buildings
- accelerate the deployment of its “all-inclusive” YATOU offer for the renovation of co-ownerships and private housing
Ultimately, Acorus-METZ aims to offer all the services in the Acorus Group's global eco-renovation offering.
Hiring planned for 2025
With 89 employees, Acorus-METZ plans to recruit new talent in 2025 to support its growth and meet the daily demands of its customers. Acorus-METZ is seeking technician profiles: facade specialists, painters, etc. These positions will be available on a permanent basis.
Training hours doubled between 2023 and 2024, demonstrating Acorus-METZ's commitment to developing its employees' skills. Furthermore, thanks to a major "SURICATE" operation, workplace accidents decreased by 20% between 2023 and 2024, demonstrating the effectiveness of the safety measures implemented.
For Emmanuel Da Silva, General Manager of Metz, Acorus Group: "The growth we've experienced this year is a source of great pride for the entire Acorus-Metz team. It demonstrates the unwavering commitment of our 89 employees, whose professionalism has made 2024 an exceptional year. Building on this momentum, we are looking toward 2025 with a clear ambition: to accelerate our development, expand our reach in Orléans and the surrounding region, and contribute significantly to the energy transition of buildings, a major challenge for our future."
Acorus-METZ will train a 4th class of facade renovation apprentices
In a context of labor shortages, in order to continue its growth and meet its clients' needs in building renovation, Acorus-METZ opened its own training space in 2018. Since then, three classes of around ten apprentices have been trained as facade renovators in ITE. Young people in career change situations, job seekers, and refugees looking for a career in construction have learned this trade in real-life conditions. Future journeymen receive five months of initial training, enhanced by practical internships at the CFA building training center and on a training site before being integrated into the teams.
For Adrien Maclain, principal works manager at Metz-Acorus, responsible for this promotion: « A recruitment shortage in the region and the desire to support individuals in their professional integration motivated us to develop our training space in 2018. The fourth training session for the facade renovation profession will begin in September with ten trainees from all different backgrounds. All the Acorus-METZ teams are delighted to be able to support these companions in this wonderful professional project. »
