ABB appoints Morten Wierod to succeed Björn Rosengren as CEO

From August 1, 2024 until the end of the year, Björn Rosengren will advise and assist Morten Wierod and the executive committee to ensure a gradual transition.

Morten Wierod (52), a Norwegian national, was chosen following an extensive selection process. Holder of a master's degree in electrical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, he joined ABB in 1998 and became a member of the ABB executive committee in 2019. He then became President of the Motion business. before being appointed President of the Electrification activity.
