Adaptation: can do better!
The real impact of the health crisis on French companies is still difficult to assess. However, 41% of French people believe that their society has adapted moderately to the situation and only 28% that this adaptation is good.
How have companies evolved?
46% of people questioned think that their company has made a lot of progress and changes regarding the issue of teleworking. The second part concerns internal communication with 19% representativeness, just ahead of manager training with 13%.
Work in progress
In order to resolve certain difficulties arising from the health crisis, major discussions have been carried out by French companies. This is the case for 48% of management adaptation. Many projects are also underway, such as positioning the company at 51%, as well as setting up new organizational methods at 55%. On the other hand, nothing has been done to adapt the workspaces (39%) or the development of new tools (44%).
No teleworking in coworking
At present very few companies (only 9%) offer their employees to telecommute in coworking spaces near their home. And while 24% are considering this type of solution, more than 67% do not consider this option at all.
Little consultation
The companies are still in active management and only 17% have already consulted employees on their wish for development with regard to their work practices. For 22%, this consultation will take place in 2021 but 61% do not plan to question employees.
Cherished freedom ...
Fully leaving the choice to employees of telework or face-to-face is not yet for tomorrow. Indeed, 52% of companies declare that they will not let employees choose their workplace. Only 15% are likely to grant this freedom for teleworking 1 or 2 days a week.
The conquest of spaces ...
Among all the projects to come, the question of the redevelopment of workspaces is the most important and requires support for 64% of companies The organization of working methods also interests 61% of companies as well as new ways of managing at 59 %.
What objectives for 2021?
Forced or seduced by teleworking, bringing employees back to the office worries more than 77% of companies! The second objective for 62% concerns the improvement of spaces in order to better manage the almost inevitable hybridization of work: remote and face-to-face. In third place, 61% of companies want to reassure their teams about health issues.
What about the future of work?
Long ignored or absent, teleworking will now be an integral part of our daily lives. This is a fact widely expressed by 64% of companies who envisage a large proportion of home office workers in the future. The possibility of working in different places is also part of the visions of work in the future for 61% of companies as well as a reduction of office space to its strict minimum at 57%.
