Cibetec’s haute couture architectural concretes adorn the Signature luxury residence in Reims

Designed by the Giovanni Pace architectural firm, it is made up of two buildings with a modern silhouette and noble materials which echo those around them. Among them, the polished concrete facade elements made to measure by Cibetec, a specialist in prefabricated architectural concrete.

Located on an island whose architect wanted to reconstruct the plot boundaries while keeping a template in harmony with the neighboring buildings, the Signature program consists of:

• of a new building, with a total surface area of ​​16.500 m², which include 86 home ownership units. In order to give them the recognizable emblematic character of Rémois buildings, one of the corners was rounded and the other cutaway, facing the Boulingrin halls, recalls the city's Art Deco past. Cibetec produced, in prefabricated concrete, the 123 posts and 10 structural sails of different thicknesses as well as the facade elements which act as guardrails for the loggias (203 standard spandrels and 10 curved spandrels). Chosen by the architect in polished white Greek marble finish, this one, of incredible finesse, is associated with the Euville stone located at the bottom of the loggia. The installation of the architectural concrete elements required all the expertise and attention to detail of the company BEC Construction Champagne because, as indicated by Mr. Bénito, works manager, “ the difficulty for the companions on this site was not to damage the prefabricated pieces in Greek marble to avoid any rework ».
• of an existing building whose rear side, overlooking both the new building and an interior green space, has been enlarged by the creation of a complete facade of balconies made up of spandrels and posts in raw white concrete from Cibetec . It accommodates 21 social housing units in R+3 and 9 new duplexes on the ground floor and R+1. In addition, in the common courtyard, 11 white concrete walls separate the garden from the new part.

The entire Signature residence covers a surface area of ​​1200 m² of polished concrete and 423 m² of raw white concrete. The close collaboration between the Cibetec design office and the company BEC Construction made it possible to respect the architect's wishes and deliver a program with high-end architectural services by 2024.
