SFIC, a Saint-Gobain Distribution Bâtiment France brand and recognized player in the thermal insulation business, acquires the companies GB Isolation and Alsic. These two strategic operations respond to the brand's desire to broaden its expertise in the dynamic and buoyant insulation market by combining trading and processing activities.
These acquisitions allow SFIC to strengthen its territorial presence in order to optimally support its professional customers on all their sites and to extend the collaboration with its industrial partners.
Two complementary companies with recognized know-how
The insulation market has been growing steadily for several years, driven by the need for insulation both in industry and in tertiary buildings or collective housing. In this positive context, SFIC is enriching its skills thanks to two acquisitions:
GB Insulation, a recognized player in insulation in the south-west of France with two agencies located in Toulouse (31) and Bordeaux (33) and a transformation workshop.
Alsica, a fast-growing player based in Alsace in Duttlenheim (67), with an agency and a processing workshop.
The two companies carry out a trading activity for insulators, supplemented by a cutting activity for elbows and insulating shells.
Many synergies
In order to maintain their agility and the entrepreneurial spirit that drives them, the teams and managers remain in place and the names of the two companies remain unchanged.
« We are really very happy to be able to join a brand such as SFIC and the Saint-Gobain group. This is a tremendous opportunity for development and growth for our company and our partners.. Gilles Barbier, manager of GB Insulation.
« This operation will give us the means to accelerate our commercial development and to provide our customers with thermal insulators in Alsace and the Great East with better service and an even broader offer.. Michel Ignasiak, manager of Alsic.
“We are delighted to welcome two companies as successful as GB Isolation and Alsic into our network. They combine excellence, dynamism and spirit of initiative. We will thus be able to carry out many projects together that will benefit our customers in conjunction with our supplier partners.” Martial Lafont, Managing Director of SFIC.
