In order to secure their movement inside and outside the building, the EHPAD has chosen to install Dény Security access control solutions at strategic points.
With a surface area of 3.385 m2, the Les Jardins Argentés residence brings together conventional EHPAD accommodation spread over three aisles (Jonquilles on the ground floor, Desreux and Lilas on the 1st floor) and an Alzheimer's Life Unit (UVA) with its adapted activity and care center (PASA).
Each sector has all the spaces essential to the comfort and well-being of the occupants: dining room, rest and activity lounge, terraces/garden, hairdresser... In addition to this are the offices, kitchens, laundry and technical rooms, access to which is strictly reserved for the 58 staff working on the site (administrative staff, healthcare team, hotel and catering services).
Until then equipped with a mechanical access control system, the EHPAD is experiencing many management problems related to lost keys. In the spring of 2020, he then decided to rethink the security of the establishment and approached the company EDSC, an installer who has been working for 12 years on three of the GCMS sites in the region. The latter advises them to call on Dény Security who, " beyond the reputation of the manufacturer and the reliability of the products, offers real support throughout the project explains Nicolas Hennion, manager of the EDSC company.
In order to comply with the obligations governing establishments receiving the public of type J (structure welcoming the elderly) while taking into account the circulation needs of residents and professionals alike, all sensitive accesses are now secured with:
- 55 Optimal Hand V2 electronic handles in Large version, covered with a black cover, on the interior doors of technical rooms, storage areas, offices, etc. They are fitted with a DF mechanical cylinder with a European profile to switch, if necessary, in degraded mode and thus still be able to open using a general password. Operating in controlled entry and free exit, this solution has made it possible to assign badges with specific access authorization to each member of staff according to their activity. Programming and deactivation in the event of loss is simply carried out via the Logyca Mifare software by an authorized person, previously trained by Dény Security,
- 1 Logyca Mifare wired wall reader at the entrance to the secretariat to activate/deactivate the alarm,
- 3 éO panic locks with 1 Push Bar type locking point located on the doors of the outdoor premises (boiler room, garden room and TGBT). For secure access from outside, they have a mechanical operation with handle and locking by DF cylinder using the general pass.
The installation, carried out last fall, is entirely satisfactory to Ghislain Hochain, technical manager of two EHPADs at GCMS Grand Lille: " in an establishment where certain accesses have at least 60 passages per day, it is essential to have resistant equipment such as the Optimal Hand V2 crutches. In addition to their foolproof solidity, they are remarkably simple in terms of maintenance, especially since an indicator on the stand alerts us in the event of a low battery. ».
The latter, like the company EDSC, finally appreciates the Dény Security hotline which accompanied them during commissioning and is always available to support them, if necessary, in solving technical problems.
This is why the GCMS Grand Lille did not hesitate to also equip the EHPAD in Boeschepe with 65 Optimal Hand crutches in Slim version and 2 Logyca Mifare HiSec wall readers. The Marchiennes EHPAD should follow soon.
