On April 5, the first edition of the Digital Twins Trophies was held at Porte de Versailles. Sogelink competed with a dyke reinforcement project carried out in the Netherlands, with its subsidiary LOCATIQS Group. On this occasion, the group won the “Special Jury Prize” and confirmed its new international dynamic.
A dyke reinforcement project in the Netherlands to deal with climate change
As the Netherlands is located below sea level, rising sea levels due to climate change have a direct impact on flood prevention and the resilience of infrastructure. The country, divided into four autonomous territories, has therefore developed a climate adaptation strategy and interregional cooperation on the reinforcement of dykes.
The digital twin developed for this project serves as a knowledge platform across the different domains and scales of the project. Started in 2018 by providing the standard and IT infrastructure databases, it continued in 2021 with the modeling and creation of the digital twin. Building on existing assets, future projects are already under development.
