Picard Serrures relies on training to create vocations and recruit new Approved Installers

A certified training open to all…

Organized at the company's headquarters in Feuquières-en-Vimeu (80), the Picard Serrures training sessions, the last session of which took place on March 7 and 8, are jointly led by Julien Maliar, IAP Network Manager, and Alexandre Pegon, Engineer at the Design Office in order to provide participants with dual expertise.

Lasting 16 hours, spread over two days, they welcome a maximum of 9 people to favor a constructive exchange and combine theory and practice, with the program:

• presentation of the brand's high security locks, residential armored doors and technical doorsets. In addition to knowing the characteristics of the different products, this module allows them to learn the basic vocabulary and terminology of the trade, but also to understand the standards and labels specific to the performance of Picard Serrures solutions (A2P certification, acoustic, thermal, fire),
• commercial approach to help them master sales techniques, the sales pitch in front of their customers but also to boost their sales thanks to marketing and digital operations intended to improve their online visibility (natural referencing and social networks),
• training in product installation methods (with measurement) and in techniques for opening the various pumps in the event of troubleshooting,
• discovery of the services offered by Picard Serrures according to the level of approval of the IAP (Official, Premium, Elite) and visit of the factory to understand the manufacturing cycle of the products.

In 2022, following a strict audit based on seven main criteria and 22 assessment indicators, the Picard Serrures training center obtained Qualiopi certification, which attests to the quality of the services offered and allows the trainees to whom they are intended to benefit from their support by the Skills Operators.

Originally intended for Approved Installers, already partners as newcomers, the Picard Serrures training center now opens its doors to all craftsmen (window-makers, carpenters, metal workers, etc.) who would like to broaden their skills and why not join the network. An initiative taken by the manufacturer because “although this market is in full expansion, it is struggling to recruit between retirements and lack of knowledge. Indeed, if there is a CAP Locksmith-Metalworker, no diploma training prepares for the profession of city locksmith to ensure the installation of security locks, door shielding or emergency repairs "explains Julien Maliar, Network Manager IPA.

Also to create vocations and make young people aware of this profession of the future, Picard Serrures relies on its sales force of 15 people. It criss-crosses the towns of France to meet professionals who are not yet members of the network, to present its high value-added products to them and to explain to them the support from A to Z of the benchmark locksmith brand for more than 300 years.

Today with 160 Approved Installers spread throughout France and neighboring countries, Picard Serrures hopes to continue to develop its network, particularly in cities with high potential such as Calais, Besançon, Nîmes, Pau, Nantes or even Antwerp, Bruges and Liege in Belgium. The objective: to recruit 15 new partners per year!
