Over the last 12 months, 21 points of sale have therefore come to strengthen the territorial network of the Gedimat, Gedibois and Gedimat ConceptStore brands. The group thus reaffirms its dynamism, its attractiveness and the interest of independent traders for the values and advantages of its cooperative, incentive and mutualized system.
At the last general meeting, Frédéric Ondet, Chairman of the Board, highlighted the performance of a group on the move and the positive impact of the new points of sale on Gedicoop's turnover. In a market that is declining by 12 to 13%, the network of traders is holding up well with, on a comparable basis, a drop of 8,5% in its turnover. With these recent memberships, acquisitions and creations and their contribution of 100 million euros, the group's turnover stands at 2,5 billion euros, a limited drop of 3,5%. Gedicoop is thus consolidating its position as the leading group of independent traders in the sector.
For Frederic Ondet: « The attractiveness of the Group demonstrates the vitality of our network and its resilience despite market difficulties. The choice of independent traders to join our group, the intensification of our cooperative work and the investments of our members in the renovation of their points of sale respond to a reinforcement strategy resolutely turned towards the future. »
21 points of sale have joined Gedicoop over the last 12 months, including 12 on January 1, 2025, divided between 5 memberships and 1 buyout.
