2024 Olympics: Solideo has returned €126 million to the State since 2023

The public institution announced on Thursday that 95% of the Olympic venues used during the 2024 Summer Olympics would be open to the public by the end of December 2025, and that the conversion of the remaining 5% would be phased in by 2028.

On Friday, in a press release, Solideo indicated that its board of directors had unanimously approved the return of 52,7 million euros in current funds to the State and local authorities, bringing the total return since December 2023 to 126 million euros.

The company announced in July 2024 that it was returning nearly 40 million euros, then another 30 million in March 2025.

"This is the result of good budget management," Yann Krysinski, executive director general of the public establishment in charge of delivering 70 Olympic venues, stressed on Thursday during a press briefing.

He recalled that for these Paris Games, "the overall budget for the Olympic works was 4,5 billion euros, the 'model' of Solideo, i.e. the public subsidies, was a little less than 1,7 billion".

On December 31, the Solideo 2024 team's mission will end, but its structure, planned to remain in place until 2028, will be integrated into the public establishment Grand Paris Aménagement. The latter, through a pooling agreement published Thursday in the Official Journal, will take over the redevelopment of the remaining 5% of Olympic venues starting in January 2026.

Among the remaining "material legacy" projects from the Games to be delivered are, in Saint-Denis, a school complex scheduled to open in 2027, as well as two student residences and approximately 1,000 housing units. In Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, plans include a school complex, around 1.300 housing units, and two student residences.
