The regional juries and the national jury took into account the following criteria: interest and value of the heritage considered, aesthetic and architectural coherence, materials and organization of the site, quality of the implementation, impact of these operations from a point of view social, economic, cultural, environmental and tourist, audacity of the operation and popular mobilization.
National awards
The national jury, chaired by Frédéric LÉTOFFÉ, President of the Technical and Standardization Commission of the FFB, studied 18 files proposed by the regional juries, among the 96 eligible files received this year.
5 national prizes were awarded:
National award for municipalities and inter-municipal structures with less than 3500 inhabitants
- Beaulieu-les-Loches (Indre-et-Loire)
for the restoration of the Grand Bell Tower of the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul abbey church
National award for municipalities and inter-municipal structures between 3500 and 20000 inhabitants
- Mortagne-sur-Sevre (Vendee)
for the rehabilitation of the Saint-Hilaire church and the creation of a stained glass interpretation center
National award for municipalities and inter-municipal structures with more than 20000 inhabitants
- Urban community of Val de Fensch (Moselle)
for the restoration of the dovecote, the surrounding gates and the monumental portal of the Domaine de Wendel in Hayange
Special Jury Award
- La Ferriere-sur-Risle (Eure)
for the restoration of the hall
Special "territorial dynamism" prizes (ex æquo)
for the rehabilitation of a XNUMXth century building into social housing
- Old Chapel (Pas-de-Calais)
for the restoration of the Sénéchal farm with a view to opening an experimental platform for autistic adults and visually impaired autism
The official national awards ceremony will take place on December 7 at the premises of the FFB in Paris.
Regional prices
12 regional prizes were also awarded to municipalities whose files were selected by regional juries to compete at national level.
Departmental prices
This year, 36 departmental prizes were awarded by regional juries.
The regional and departmental prizes will be awarded locally, during events organized in the municipalities by representatives of the five partners, during the last quarter of 2020.

In addition, the next edition will be launched in early October. The purpose of this “Heritage Ribbons” competition is to reward municipalities and inter-municipal authorities that have carried out operations to restore or enhance their built heritage. The operations rewarded for 26 years illustrate the creativity and tenacity of the various players. They highlight the dynamism of the municipalities and the know-how of building craftsmen and entrepreneurs as well as their companions.
