2019 list of "Heritage Ribbons"

This competition is organized in partnership with the Association of Mayors of France and presidents of intermunicipal associations, the French Building Federation, the Heritage Foundation, the National Federation of Savings Banks and the French Group of Monuments Restoration Companies Historical. It rewards municipalities and inter-municipal organizations which have carried out restoration or enhancement operations for their built heritage.

The regional juries and the national jury took into account the following criteria: interest and value of the heritage considered, aesthetic and architectural coherence, materials and organization of the site, quality of the implementation, impact of these operations from a point of view social, economic, cultural, environmental and tourist, audacity of the operation and popular mobilization.

National awards

The national jury, chaired by Jean Arondel, president of the National Federation of Caisses d'Épargne, studied 20 files proposed by the regional juries, among the 128 eligible files received this year.

5 national prizes were awarded:

• Municipality of less than 3 inhabitants Oncy-sur-Ecole (Essonne) for the restoration of the Saint-Martin church
• Municipality between 3 and 500 inhabitants Saint-Omer (Pas-de-Calais) for the rehabilitation of the old town hall and its Italian theater
• Municipality of more than 20 inhabitants Community of Communes Le Grand Charolais (Saône-et-Loire) for the rehabilitation of the "Dock 000" building in Digoin
• Special price of the Juillé jury (Sarthe) for the rehabilitation and fitting out of a medieval house in the town hall
• Special prize "territorial dynamism" Châtel-Guyon (Puy-de-Dôme) for the rehabilitation of the theater

The official national awards ceremony will take place on October 25 at the International Cultural Heritage Fair in Paris.

Regional prices

15 regional prizes have just been awarded to municipalities whose files have been selected by regional juries to compete at the national level.

Departmental prices:

This year, 42 departmental prizes were awarded by regional juries.

The regional and departmental prices will be awarded locally, during events organized in the municipalities by the representatives of the five partners, during the second half of 2019.
