30 years of commitments and actions for the improvement of housing and the comfort of the inhabitant
The Housing Improvement Club, founded 30 years ago on the joint initiative of the ANAH, the Ministry of Housing, the Building Federation and a number of major manufacturers works constantly to measure, understand and revitalize the housing renovation and maintenance business sector.
Two major motivations have constantly guided and stimulated its actions:
- The need to support an important economic market of the order of €50 billion each year, but moreover not very scalable.
- As well as the will to bring any solution to the improvement of the comfort of life of the inhabitants in their housing as within their district.
Even today and very probably for the next 30 years, this determination supports the ambitions of the Club.
Since its creation, its tour de table has greatly expanded: Public services (Ministries and their agencies), professional trade organizations and many of their members (manufacturer, distributor, prescribers, installers), energy companies, banks, insurance companies, social organizations, etc.
The Club carries out its work around 3 major axes:
- Observation of the market from both economic and sociological angles.
- Experimental solutions to consolidate and intensify the renovation of the residential stock.
- Societal approaches to better understand the behavioral mechanisms of inhabitants-consumers.
For Jean-Pascal Chirat, General Delegate of the CAH: “There is no doubt that the decade started, despite a singular societal context, or perhaps precisely thanks to it? will be able to devote a large part of its “sustainable” economic dynamics to the evolution of the existing habitat and to a better integration of the inhabitants in the transformation of town planning in connection with our societal evolution. The Club thus expresses the wish, on its thirtieth anniversary, to be able to accompany this profound change with the reason and passion that inspire its members and its management. ”
