Summer holiday periods are particularly critical for construction companies, especially since a significant portion of French road maintenance work is carried out during the summer. In 2025, the Île-de-France Roads Directorate (DiRIF) allocated €20 million to summer road resurfacing alone, mobilizing dozens of work sites simultaneously. These sites, as soon as the crews leave in the evening or for their holidays, become vulnerable to a multitude of challenges: lack of electricity, no internet connection, and geographical isolation.
