The 10th edition is long overdue! Like many other gatherings postponed and then canceled in 2021, the organizers of the French rope access championship chose last April to cancel the event.
A decision taken collectively by the board of directors of France Travaux sur Cordes. Indeed, the health measures resulting from the pandemic risked complicating the process and above all upsetting one of the main values: the professionalism of the competition.
The whole profession and especially the cordists will finally be able to meet on May 19th and 20th! And finally award the 10th titles of champions of France, individual and team!
This is the big meeting place for cordists. For two days, the competition welcomes more than 100 participants from around twenty companies. It is above all, the real gathering of the profession, with round tables, with exchanges around training, safety, the evolution of techniques and equipment, stands of partners and manufacturer of specialized equipment.
“The Championship is a unifying gathering for all players in our profession. The constraints linked to the sanitary measures of last spring and the too great uncertainties in April did not make it possible to maintain the conviviality and the exchanges specific to the event. We hope that in May, everything will be back to the way it was before. We are all looking forward to meeting at La Sucrière in Lyon for the first time! » says Jacques Bordignon, President of France Travaux sur Cordes
A unifying event to put the spotlight on a high and physical profession!
The cordists are ultra professionals. The French championship brings together all those involved in building, industry or public works, men and women who exercise their know-how using rope access and movement techniques.
This is an opportunity to highlight the technical mastery, physical performance and know-how of this profession - Cordiste - a growing profession, highlighted today thanks to historic projects, such as the work of consolidation of the cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris.
The rope access technician
Conditioned by high standards in terms of safety, the profession of rope access technician is unique in the diversity of its activities (renovation of buildings, maintenance of industrial sites, restoration of historical monuments, work on engineering structures, securing of traffic routes, show and event, etc.) as well as by the different environments in which it is exercised.
To date, the rope trades represent more than 15 employees and 000 companies listed in France. A true corporation, joint work, professionalism, mutual assistance, cross-checking and self-checking are the watchwords of this extraordinary profession where team spirit dominates.
10th French Championship: two days, ten events, one hundred men and women participants and round tables
It's a great technical and sharp competition in perspective, supplemented by relief events. It is a major professional challenge for all participants!
Beyond the height and spectacular events, it is a meeting which wishes to federate all the actors of the profession. Many activities are offered on the partner stands, encouraging exchanges and professional meetings.
Traditionally, round tables are organized around current themes in collaboration with institutions that are essential for the profession, giving rise to major advances.
