TSO pays tribute to Christian Boscher

His role was decisive in the development of the TSO company and even more so in the merger of TSO and NGE in 2011.

A career in the railway industry

Having joined TSO in 1971 as a Works Supervisor, Christian Boscher devoted more than forty years to this family business founded in 1927 by Auguste Perron. He rose through the ranks, becoming a member of the Management Board between 1996 and 2001, before serving as President until his retirement in 2016.

A man of conviction and practical experience, he participated in all the major stages of modernization of the French railway system: conventional lines, high-speed lines, and urban systems. He played a major role in the introduction of new methods and technologies – from fast trains to the BOA factory train, to the rise of the catenary – which made TSO a key player.

A key player in the TSO – NGE merger

In 2011, when TSO and the NGE Group merged, Christian Boscher played a key role alongside Emmanuelle Perron, Chairwoman of the Executive Board, in successfully achieving this historic transition. His commitment to TSO's historical expertise, combined with his vision for the future of our businesses, helped to firmly anchor the railway identity within NGE, making it one of the Group's key areas of expertise in France and internationally.

A living memory that has become a collective heritage

With over forty years of experience, Christian was a living memory of the railway industry. But far from keeping this knowledge to himself, he was always keen to share it and put it at the service of others. This technical and human heritage remains today in the practices, methods, and team spirit that inspire the employees of TSO and NGE.

Christian Boscher's technical and human legacy will forever be an integral part of TSO's identity. He will remain a model of commitment and excellence in the service of French railways.
