The Eco-Materials Gallery: The Materials Library designed by Materiaux.archi, in partnership with the BIMWORLD trade fair

Conceived and produced by Materiaux.archi, this Materials Library offers a selection of innovative, ecological and more traditional materials, chosen for their ability to illustrate current developments in the construction sector: technical innovations, environmental approaches, artisanal know-how and new aesthetics.

The intention of this first edition

With the Eco-materials Gallery, Materiaux.archi aims to create a space for discovery and inspiration for visitors and specifiers at the trade fair.

This space aims to be experiential and dynamic, at the crossroads of materials library, design, and digital technology. Bio-based and innovative materials are not simply exhibited: they are presented in context, within their usage framework, life cycle, manufacturing process, and architectural potential.

The Gallery thus becomes a rallying point for the trade fair, intended for architects, specifiers, engineers, teachers, students and private or public decision-makers committed to the ecological transition of construction.

A scenography designed for discovery

The presentation of the samples, designed by Materiaux.archi, adopts a scenography in thematic islands, promoting the reading, comparison and manipulation of the materials.

Visitors are invited to touch, handle and explore the materials, in an approach that is both educational and sensory.

A hybrid setup: physical & digital

iPads on the stand allow visitors to browse the digital database of more than 30.000 materials.

Each material also includes a QR Code, allowing access to a detailed digital presentation: characteristics, uses, environmental data, manufacturing and reference projects.

Visitors can thus scan, select and extend the discovery beyond the showroom.

A lively and educational space

During the two days of the BIMWORLD trade fair, the Materiaux.archi team will run the Materials Library and welcome visitors alongside partner manufacturers, particularly of bio-based materials, in order to promote dialogue, transmission and skills development around sustainable materials.
