Kebony publishes its Sustainability Report and reinforces its commitment to more sustainable construction

Developed and produced in Norway and Belgium, the patented Dually Modified™ Kebony technology transforms softwoods from sustainably managed forests into materials with performance comparable to that of tropical hardwoods. This innovation thus offers an ecological alternative to endangered species and contributes to the preservation of biodiversity.

ESG Transparency and Performance

Kebony's Sustainability Report 2025, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the recommendations of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), provides a comprehensive assessment of Kebony's ESG performance, including carbon emissions on Scopes 1 to 3 and avoided emissions (Scope 4).

In 2024, Kebony sold its products in more than 30 countries, avoiding 14.220 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent, while strengthening transparency on its indirect emissions.

An ambitious roadmap

To further reduce its impact, Kebony will implement a plan next year to optimize its operational efficiency, specifically targeting emissions related to the transport of raw materials and finished products.

Responsibilities and certifications

Kebony complies with the Norwegian Transparency Act, ensuring respect for human rights in its supply chain, and publishes its full compliance report, Report on the Transparency Act 2024, on its website. The company is also a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, which promotes responsible practices in human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.

• PEFC: Sustainable forest management worldwide;
• Nordic Swan Ecolabel: official ecolabel of the Nordic countries.

Kebony is a member of the Norwegian Green Building Council, a partner in BREEAM-NOR certification, and has achieved the highest rating of "A" from the Swedish SundaHus Environmental Data system.
